2 tier gold splattered cake with flowers – stacking, dowelling, icing and decorating | £250 | Sold out

All skill levels are welcome for this one – you can be a complete beginner, home baker or keen cake decorator who wants to hone your skills and pick up a few tips and tricks. It’s a small, very friendly and welcoming class of ten cake-lovers.

With teachers Lily, Laura or Megan (or some combination of the three!), you’ll learn to stack, fill and ice your own delicious celebration cake.

With teachers Lily, Laura or Megan (or some combination of us three!), you’ll learn to stack, dowel, fill and ice your own delicious celebration cake.

We will teach you to handle a piping bag, turntable and palette knife confidently and to stack and fill a cake with a delicious, creamy US-style buttercream. You’ll then learn to ice a smooth final coat of icing on your cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

We’ll also teach you some simple but really effective decorating tips and tricks you can use again and again – firstly, how to master the gold ‘splat’, and then using seasonal flowers to decorate with. You decide the artistic direction of your cake, and you will leave with a fabulous Lily Vanilli cake of your own creation (rrp £150) as well as really achievable, impressive decorating skills to use on your own cakes forevermore!

We will supply coffee, tea, delicious snacks and Mirabeau sparkling rose, and you’ll have the chance to ask Lily & the team all your baking questions.

You then take home your very own delicious Lily Vanilli cake (usually priced at £150), along with recipes for two cakes and both buttercreams and the skills you need to decorate glorious cakes at home.

Following the class, we also send you a lifetime discount card, which you can use for all and any future Lily Vanilli orders online, including classes and cakes.
